The trust was set up as a family trust by the Kirk Family.

 

Money is given to the trust for charitable purposes. The trustees are able to spend that money for any charitable purpose worldwide, so the remit is wide. However, monies are usually spent in one of the two ways shown below.

 

Christian Purposes Money is spent supporting the work of the Church and other Christian organisations, primarily those working with children or young people.

 

Pursuit of Excellence Money is spent supporting those who are pursuing a skill they have and who have the potential to be the best in that skill. The recipients will already be showing promise in that area at a level above their peers.
