Soli Deo Gloria translates as - "To God alone be the glory". It is the family motto for the Kirk Family which endeavours to live up to such an ideal.

 

The Kirk Trust, set up by a member of this Family has adopted the motto as the defining guide for use of the monies it holds.

 

This is seen by the two main areas of grants and donations - for God's work through the Church and other Christian organisations / to promote excellence amongst children and youth. It is believed that God gives us the gifts we possess, and therefore we have a duty to develop and use those gifts.
